Welcome members to 2025! This month has certainly flown by. If this pace is any indicator of how the year will unfold, we’re in for a busy one. I hope you all had a safe and fruitful break (if you were fortunate enough to have some time off).
As we step into this new year, your board remains committed to advancing the priorities of 2025. Here are some updates to kick things off:
- AHPA Application Update: We are currently in a waiting phase regarding the AHPA application. Unfortunately, AHPA was unable to provide ARTA
with an update, and we will need to wait for their next meeting in March. We will keep you informed as more information becomes available. - Connection with AHANA: We’re pleased to share that we’ve established a connection with AHANA for anyone still seeking a professional body for a Diploma and below among our industry colleagues.
- Professional Development Calendar: ARTA has launched our action-packed professional development calendar! It features a range of workshops designed to support all qualifications and knowledge bases in the industry. This is an opportunity not to be missed – be sure to check it out!
- Social Media Marketing and Member Engagement: This year, the board will focus on promoting our profession on social media. We’re seeking members to participate in interviews or share case studies to highlight the amazing work happening across the industry. If this interests you, please contact the office – we’d love to hear from you!
- Strengthening Communities of Practice (CoP): Over the next few months, we’ll also focus on strengthening our Communities of Practice. These CoPs need to be driven by our membership base, so we encourage you to bring your experiences, concerns, and ideas from specific industry areas forward. Your input is vital to shaping ARTA’s policy and areas of focus.
We look forward to continuing this journey together and achieving great outcomes in the months ahead. Thank you for your ongoing support and dedication to our shared goals. Here’s to a successful and productive year for all of us!
