Hello Members,
Brrr! I think the whole nation has been freezing! It seems to have been such a long, cold winter. I hope you are all coping well and the winter bugs and flus haven’t hit you too hard.
As I write to you, I am preparing to attend the New Zealand Diversional Therapy Conference in Auckland. I am really looking forward to catching up with NZ DT’s I met two years ago, and also at the DTA Conferences, and of course, meeting new friends in the DT world. I will give you a full briefing in next month’s newsletter.
And speaking of Conferences… have you taken advantage of the member early bird registration to attend the fantastic, brilliant, inspiring Gold Coast Conference… well, don’t panic if you haven’t, because this amazing offer has been extended to August 15th. Come on, get in early and grab a bargain! Don’t miss this important conference!
Or, perhaps you aren’t able to come to the full conference, but would just love to attend the workshop day and get your fill of ideas, concepts, and new ways of doing things? This year, you can attend the activities workshop as a stand-alone day without committing to the full conference as well.
Have you ever wondered how the DTA Board come up with ideas for moving forward? One of the ways is that we ask you, the member. Would you like to give your comments? The Office has established a Member Focus Group; all it will take is your brief response to a quick email from the Office, asking what you think about … or if you would use …, or if an issue is important to you…, etc. Just jotting down your thoughts in relation to a topic will help us in our decision making, and best of all, you will have contributed to your professional development! Come on! We’d love to hear from you.
Regards,
Louise Absalom
